Winona Ryder Biography

Winona Ryder Born October 29, 1971, Winona Laura Horowitz was born in a small town in Minnesota, the northern United States, called Winona. His middle name is a tribute to the wife of Aldous Huxley, Laura Huxley, with whom his parents were close friends. His stage name was inspired by Mitch Ryder, a jazz musician than his father while listening Winona received the first phone call from his agent offering him a role in her first film. His mother, Cynthia Palmer (maiden name Istas) is an author, video producer, and editor. Her father, Michael Horowitz, is an author, editor, publisher, and antiquarian bookseller. 

Winona's father was an atheist and his mother a Buddhist. Winona Ryder spent much time reading books like The Catcher in the Rye has become his favorite book.
